GB.ITech Labs publishes both independent editorial content and clearly identified commercial content. This page explains the difference.
Content types
- Editorial content. Research, reviews, comparisons and guides produced by our editorial team. Not purchasable.
- Affiliate content. Editorial content that contains affiliate links. Coverage decisions are made first; monetisation is applied afterwards where a programme exists.
- Sponsored placements. Paid visibility for a specific product in a defined slot, always labelled.
- Featured placements. Paid or editorially selected prominence. Where a placement is paid, it carries a label.
- Vendor promotion services. Paid packages purchased through our promote your tool page, covering placement, content production or distribution.
- Paid advertising. Advertising units or off-site campaigns, subject to platform rules and approval.
Labels we use
We use plain labels such as Sponsored, Featured Placement, Paid Promotion and Advertisement. Paid placement is never disguised as an independent editorial selection, and paid entries do not enter standard directory ordering, search results or comparison tables unmarked.
What money cannot buy
Purchasing promotional services does not guarantee a positive review, rating, ranking or editorial recommendation. It does not guarantee inclusion in a comparison, a specific position in a category, or the removal or downgrading of a competitor.
Advertising services
Where we run off-site campaigns for a vendor, advertising services are subject to platform policies, account eligibility, editorial review and campaign approval. We do not guarantee approval by any advertising platform, nor specific traffic, sales, conversions or rankings.
